Yep, we've got 4 weddings under our belt already this summer. This wedding was a blast, and my friends Emily Barran and Nate VanDerVeer wed June 19th. The wedding was in Emily's hometown of Mooresville, Alabama and the weekend started off our huge vacation. As I headed to Huntsville (which is next to Mooresville) for the weekend, I passed through a cute little old town of DeKalb.
With Court and Jenn on the veranda.
Our lunch was served on the veranda. Such a perfect setting.
Inside the event space was a beautiful living room with an amazing fireplace.
All of the bridesmaids with the bride (in white).

On the day of the wedding we went to Mooresville for a wedding day brunch which was held in the coolest barn. Of course, I forgot my camera to take pictures of it. Afterwards we went to the Barran's house to get ready with Em all day before the ceremony. A little less than four years ago, all of us girls would have never imagined how lucky we would be today...we found our husbands! We are all so fortunate to be able to be apart of each other's special day. Below is our bling...our boys did GOOD!
Ashley and I took a second to walk around the historic town of Mooresville. You can read about the town here: http://www.mooresvillealabama.com/ - built in the 1800s! This is her mom and dad's house. So cute!
The other houses in the town were really pretty.
The church where Em and Nate married was built in 1839. It was perfect for their special day. The steeple of the church had a hand pointing to Heaven, instead of a cross...I loved it!

The church was being decorated when we went inside. Check out this beautiful door.

This was standing from the alter of the church. Look at how old the floors are. It was amazing!
The Barran's inspired me with their front door arrangement. I am in search for a basket like this to put on my front door. Isn't is so cute?!
Following tradition, all of the bridesmaids presented a photobook to the bride and included sweet messages and wishes for a lifelong happy marriage.
Em getting her hair done... she has fabulous hair- I'm always envious at how it just falls into place perfectly.
Putting on the dress. GORGEOUS, GORGEOUS, GORGEOUS...Emily was such a beautiful bride. The dress was amazing, complete with a crumb catcher that added the right amount of detail so a classy silhouette.
The wives club...Emily is the newest member. Katie will join at the end of July!
The girls: Christina, Ash, Me, Katie, Court, and Jenn. Love them all so much!
These cute little arrangements hung from the pews of the church, then made great decor at the reception which was held in a tent right outside. They were arranged in vintage milkjugs that were from her Grandfather.
During my wedding research, I came across a great photo of an arrangement that reminded me of Emily. {Below} her mom sent the picture to a carpenter who recreated the box that the arrangements were placed in. How cute are they?!?
The outside of the church.
Their guestbook table.
Mr. and Mrs. Nate VanDerVeer! The newlywed's first dance.
Em dancing with her sweet Daddy! He is such a sweet man! Later in the night he got on stage with the band and sang and played his guitar...it was so awesome!
Em with her cousin's sweet little boy, Angus. He is so precious!
Em and Nate VanDerVeer.
Cutting the cake. Filled with strawberry filling, it was one of the yummiest cakes I've ever had!

Nate's Aunt Muffy, who is the cutest thing ever, created temporary tattoos with "Em and Nate" on them. Everyone enjoyed putting them on!
Even Em's dad enjoyed getting tattooed...here is Aunt Muffy inkin' up his wrist.
We did the traditional Phi Mu "snap song" followed by "Outlaw Women" and danced the night away. The band was great!

It was a fabulous weekend. The perfect start to our vacation. On Sunday we were up early, headed back to Atlanta to fly to Greece...
